Compact Zero Cutter
Neat zero cutting for all types of forage is one of the specialities of the Rapid Compact zero cutter. Its compact structural design and optimum weight distribution allow perfect cutting, even under difficult conditions, as well as neat forage in a double swathe which is ideal for the loading truck. The drive of the Rapid Compact zero cutter is patented and designed for a long service life. The cutter and prong belt are driven centrally via a bevel gear. A side drive activates an angular gear via an articulated shaft which drives the nine-prong belt, a second side drive activates an eccentric drive which moves the cutter sideways via a connecting rod. Thanks to the side drive, there is no need for a drive block in the middle of the cutter. The forage can therefore flow from the right-hand side to the swathe without any obstruction. A key element is the bar compensator. This is attached to the machine and not only keeps the zero cutter horizontal when digging but also distributes the bar bearing strength evenly across the entire width. In this way, the sliding force of the add-on equipment remains constant across the entire width with the result that no side-pull occurs. The cutter is secured against excessive load via a safety clutch running in an oil bath. Available for:
